Gap Analysis

What is a gap analysis? It basically says, “This is what good looks like over here, and this is you.” And we compare the two. As we compare them, we’re going to identify what’s missing. Gap analysis can work in a lot of different areas.

It can work in staffing studies, fatigue, CRM programs, etc. We often don’t come in to client projects with the intention of building a new control room. We come in basically to look at what issues you have and figure out how can we resolve them. What do you really need? We don’t come in with any preconceived ideas. We just come in with a knowledge of best practices, and we look at what you’ve got today — what’s working well, what’s not working well, and we figure out how to fill the gaps. That’s gap analysis.
